North Liberty, IA: Bio-Research Products announced today that it will offer a high specific activity lyophilized grade of the enzyme Glutathione Reductase (GR). Dr. Bryce Cunningham, President and Chief Technology Officer of Bio-Research, reports that this is the first commercial version of the enzyme as a readily soluble freeze dried powder free of ammonium ions. Glutathione Reductase is part of test kits measuring human tissue for Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), and kits for glutathione peroxidase. Both are important indicators of cardiovascular health. Lyophilized GR will simplify its use in formulations. Bio-Research Products is a producer of high purity enzymes used in medical diagnostic tests and in other demanding applications.
